BEHIND THE SCENES OF THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS

Since 2020 we have offered our customers a fully immersive look at our partner plants, giving them a transparent, unfiltered snapshot of what goes on behind the scenes in the production factories with which we work.

Our in-store products are fitted with a QR code that gives access to information on the plant where they are manufactured.

Over on etam.com each product page features a short video that offers up images of the plant that produced it.

Our principal suppliers have worked with us for over 12 years, and this reflects our desire to foster ethical practices in terms of transformation and eco-design.

The Etam group relies on a network of historic partner suppliers, which whom it strives to build lasting relationships, bolstered by the shared experience acquired over many years.

Our principal suppliers have worked with us for over 12 years, and this reflects our desire to foster ethical practices in terms of transformation and eco-design.

COMPLIANCE CERTIFICATES AND CHARTERS

We pay particular attention to the selection and support of our partners. Each factory with which we work undergoes regular external audits and meets rigorous recognized international social standards including BSCI, SMETA, SA8000 and ICS (99% of our plants have a social compliance certificate as of 12/31/2021).

These audits are conducted by independent audit firms accredited by these standards to ensure that these factories are compliant. The social audits assess working conditions and the health of workers, safety of the workplace as well as the ban on child labor and discrimination. Conducted at least every two years, our audits are bolstered by training given to suppliers, which is part of an ongoing improvement process.

We have drafted an Ethical Supplier Guide which must be signed by all of our suppliers.

Furthermore, our local teams regularly visit the factories in person to ensure that they are complying with our social policy. We have set up a reporting system so that workers may report any practices that do not meet our requirements.

- The OAR is an open source tool that lists clothing factories throughout the world, and assigns a unique ID to each one.

- The launch of a traceability tool to map all our suppliers in tiers 1, 2 and 3.
